This CALFLOW all-round street manifold is a direct replacement for the stock intake manifold on non-EGR Small Block Chev engines from 1957 to 1995. It includes special adaptor bushings to allow fitment to 1987-'95 cylinder heads, as well as an adaptor plate to permit the use of certain square bore carburettors. Made of cast aluminium with a natural finish, this manifold is designed for an idle-5500rpm range, making it ideal for a street performance engine. It suits square bore 4 barrel carburettors and throttle bodies, providing a smooth and efficient air flow. With its versatile compatibility and durable construction, this manifold is a great upgrade for improving the performance of your classic Chevrolet engine. Calflow intake manifolds are cast from steel moulds, not sand. These permanent steel moulds provide a tighter grain casting, thereby reducing porosity. This type of tooling costs 2-3 times more than conventional sand-cast patterns, but the finished product is worth the additional expense. And because the cores (which form the internal ports and water passages) are mounted in steel instead of sand during the casting process, there is no chance of any core shift, which sometimes go undetected in sand castings.
