Bunnings X AFLW HI VIS

Local footy clubs across Australia are powered by incredible women making an impact on and off the field.

That's why we've created HI VIS.

A season-long celebration of local women's football clubs doing great things in their communities.

Throughout the AFLW season, we'll be putting HI VIS on clubs around the country, sharing their stories with AFL fans nationwide and recognising the people helping grow the game.

The clubs selected will be celebrated through AFLW boundary signage, stadium big screens and game-day recognition, with club members invited to attend the match. The Bunnings team will also be behind the BBQ on game day, helping raise funds for local women's football programs.

Come along, grab a snag and see local footy celebrated on the AFLW stage.

Putting Moonee Valley FC Women’s in HI VIS

Moonee Valley Football Club is proud to have eight female football teams in 2026, comprising approximately 230 registered female players, including 90 senior and 140 junior players. The club also has three dedicated girls' groups within its NAB AFL Auskick program, which continues to grow strongly. As part of its commitment to player development, MVFC's junior teams collaborated with the Western Bulldogs Community Programs team to take part in the Ahead of the Game mental health and gender equality training program.

The club has achieved 50% female representation across coaching positions within its junior and senior female teams. This year also marks a significant milestone, celebrating 10 years of female football at Moonee Valley since the club's inaugural junior girls team took to the field in 2016. MVFC is also proud to have joined the AFL's Women & Girls Community Football Charter in 2026.

Supporting the growth of women's and girls' football is a commitment shared across the entire club. MVFC's senior men's team participated in the inaugural Respect in Sport Round on Saturday 1 August. Delivered in partnership with the Essendon District Football League (EDFL), Merri-bek City Council and Phil Cleary, the initiative focused on promoting gender equality and preventing violence against women.

MVFC also continues to contribute to Moonee Valley City Council's Fair Access and Inclusion in Sport Network following the completion of the program in 2025. In addition, the club raised $2,000 for GenWest Family Violence Support Services through its Mother's Day raffle, supporting an organisation that provides vital assistance to victim-survivors of family violence.

Putting Laurimar Women’s FC in HI VIS

Laurimar Women's Football Club is helping drive the future of women's footy from the grassroots up.

A proud AFL Women’s and Girls Chartered Club, Laurimar has built a strong culture based on connection, inclusion and collaboration across its entire football program. The club’s close ties between its women’s and men’s teams have helped create leadership opportunities, support player development and strengthen pathways for the next generation.

That commitment is evident throughout the club. From combined training sessions between senior women and junior girls, to female coaches leading junior teams, Laurimar is creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive at every stage of their football journey.

The club's impact extends beyond the playing group. With women making up 75% of its executive team and strong support from local female-led businesses, Laurimar is championing women's participation across administration, coaching, playing and sponsorship.

This season, we're putting HI VIS on Laurimar Women's Football Club and celebrating the people helping grow women's football in their community.
