- Flexible adhesion: Accommodates minor settling without tearing or losing its weather-tight seal.
- High initial tack: Grabs broken tile fragments securely to simplify the bonding process.
- Multi-layer support: Can be layered for deep structural repairs without structural failure.
- Multi-surface versatile: Bonds perfectly to concrete, clay, terracotta, masonry, fibre cement, and metal surfaces.
Roof, Tile & Mortar Crack Filler is a high-strength, multi-surface repair compound engineered to bond, fill cracks, and weatherproof roofing and masonry surfaces. Specially formulated for vertical joints and deep repairs, it offers excellent sag resistance and minimal shrinkage on both porous tiles and metal roofing.
Surface Preparation
1. Clean the area: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, sound, and stable.
2. Clear debris: Remove all dust, loose material, moss, mould, oil, grease, and weeds using a stiff brush, blower, or vacuum. Ensure cracks are clear of loose debris.
3. Prep the bottle: Shake the bottle well before use.
4. Cut the nozzle: Cut the nozzle to suit your crack width. Start with a small opening and enlarge as needed (a 3–5 mm opening is ideal for most general repairs).
5. Check the weather: Do not apply if rain or heavy dew is expected within 24 hours.
Application
• Filling cracks: Squeeze the product directly into the crack, slightly overfilling it to allow for minor settling. Smooth it flush using a spatula or scraper.
• Deep repairs: Apply in two thin layers. Allow the first layer to dry completely before applying the second.
• Bonding tiles: For minor bonding of small, broken tile fragments, apply to both surfaces and press together while the product is still wet. Press firmly and support until set. (Note: Severely damaged tiles should be replaced).
• Metal roofs: Lightly sand metal surfaces prior to application. Always test adhesion in a small, inconspicuous area first.
