Monocel Wipe On Timber Stain offers a no-fuss way of transforming your timber with smooth and authentic colour. Our revolutionary formula lets you wipe, blend and build colour with ease. Preparation: Ensure timber surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants. Sand timber smooth, remove sanding dust using a tack cloth or rag. Application: Shake bottle before use. Squeeze out onto rag (Do not squirt directly onto timber) Use a clean, lint-free rag for application. Always test on a small area, to ensure the product achieves the desired result. In an undercover area -apply stain evenly to timber surface Work in small sections to maintain a wet edge. Wipe off excess stain. Apply extra coats if a deeper colour is desired, apply a protective top-coat such as a clear varnish, oil or wax to lock in the colour. Drying: Allow stain to dry for a few minutes, once touch dry, and you are satisfied with the colour, top coat with varnish, wax or oil. Allow 5-10 minutes solvent or oil based coatings and 2- 4 hours water based. Leaving freshly stained timber uncoated will cause the stain to dull. The number of applications depends on the porosity and existing colour depth of the timber. Clean up: Rinse in clean water.
