- Excellent feature tree
- Tolerant of coastal conditions
- Drought tolerant
‘Frisia’ is a hardy, medium-sized, deciduous tree that is fast growing. It has bright yellow-golden pinnate leaves in spring that soften to green in the warmer months with only yellow new growth. Bunches of creamy white, lightly perfumed, pea-like flowers occur in late spring / early summer.
It will grow to approximately 10 metres tall and 6 metres wide making it a great shade tree and because of the foliage colour, it creates a great feature and contrast to other trees and shrubs in the garden.
‘Frisia’ prefers full sun for best growth and foliage colour but will take part shade.
It is frost hardy and can tolerate dry periods and second line coastal exposure.
