330mm Conifer - Juniperus virginiana Spartan

This extremely hardy evergreen large shrub is one of the best forms of Conifer you can use in the garden. It is extremely versatile as it can be used for hedging and screening, topiary, does well in large pots and can grow almost anywhere.

‘Spartan’ naturally grows thick with deep green foliage. It doesn’t need pruning and will eventually reach 4 -6mts tall. It only grows to about 2mts wide. It can be clipped for formal hedging and kept at 2mts tall x 1mt wide or left unclipped for a softer look. It can be cut into standards or into spirals.

‘Spartan’ will grow in full sun or part shade, grow in most soil types but prefers well drained soil, in the mountains, the city or by the beach. Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Frost hardy and drought tolerant.
