2L Fruiting Raspberry - Rubus idaeus

This raspberry is easy to grow in the home garden. The plant is available as summer fruiting or autumn fruiting cultivars - this is clearly identified on the label. The summer fruiting varieties fruit on one year old canes whereas the autumn varieties fruit on fresh young canes.

Raspberries grow to approx 1.5 meters tall and will send up new canes each year which will then set fruit in later seasons. Raspberries are delicious when served fresh or can be used in jams or preserves. Fruit can also be frozen for later consumption.
