The King Edward Potato is excellent for baking and roasting. It is good for mashing and can be used for frying.
Planting is ideal from August through February, but in sandy frost free areas they can also be sown during June and July. In cool areas sow 1 month before the expected last frost.
Seed exceeding 110gm may be cut providing there are at least 2 eyes on each part and should be planted immediately into warm moist soil.
Cultivate 2 or 3 times during growing season to control weeds and aerate soil. High yield and quality is promoted by consistently moist soil but do not over water. Potatoes are ready to lift when the tops begin to die off.
