I produce graceful flower spikes sprays of starry white flowers from spring into summer
Hardy I am tolerant of frost and dry conditions
My flowers can be used in cut flower arrangements
I thrive in a filtered sun and shade. I am a good choice for dry shady locations
Fertilise me in spring and remove old leaves to keep me looking at my best
I am a lush looking but tough clumping perennial with sprays of small white star shaped flowers from late spring through summer. My broad lily like arching leaves are blue green in colour.
While I perform well in full sun I am a great choice for dry shady locations and underplantings where many plants fail.
I come from New Zealand where I may once have been farmed and used for medicine as well as food. I have strong symbolic importance in traditional Maori culture.
I require minimal water once established.
