- An easy to grow shrub I produce flowers for most of the year and more profusely in the cooler months
- My bright two tone blooms are in the form of a flared skirt over an inner skirt attracting nectar feeding birds
- I am just as happy in pots, containers and hanging baskets as I am planted out in the garden
- I am happy in most soils but prefer soils that are well drained
I am a hardy semi-deciduous, easy-to-grow shrub, with spectacular flowers blooming for most of the year.
My blooms hang down and have a pendulous tear drop shape which open like a flared skirt over a tighter inner skirt and stamens that protrude down below. My blooms are usually a combination of shades which vary from white to dark red, purple-blue, and orange.
I am adaptable with some varieties suited to pots and hanging baskets and others that are happier growing in the garden as a low shrub.
My blooms are a magnet for nectar feeding birds such as honeyeaters and spinebills
