  • Australian native plant endemic to South - East of NSW
  • Green flowers shaped like a “chefs hat” in Autumn and Winter
  • Creates structure and interest in the garden
Correa ‘Chef’s Cap’ is a compact, evergreen Australian native shrub named for its distinctive cap-shaped flowers. Typically growing 1 to 1.5 meters high and wide, it features small, rounded green leaves and produces tubular, pale green to creamy-yellow flowers from autumn through winter. These subtle blooms attract nectar-feeding birds and pollinators, adding seasonal interest to native and wildlife gardens. Hardy and low-maintenance, ‘Chef’s Cap’ thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soils. It is drought- and light frost-tolerant once established, making it ideal for coastal gardens, understory plantings, or low informal hedges. Light pruning maintains shape.
