- I am a unique Australian native, just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
- I produce bright yellow velvety flowers, peaking from spring to early summer, with a second flush in autumn
- My long lived blooms attract honey eaters and other small nectar feeding birds
- I thrive in full sun to part shade and tolerate heat
- Fertilise me regularly and cut back spent flowers to keep me looking at my best
I am a smaller growing kangaroo paw with prolific bright yellow blooms.
My flowers are borne in clusters on upright orange to red stems above slender, strap-like foliage.
Unique to Australia I have evolved to be pollinated by small birds for which I am a magnet. My blooms are similar in shape to a kangaroos paw and give the visiting birds a face full of pollen while they retrieve their nectar reward from deep in my bloom when performing their pollination duties.
I enjoy free draining and sandy soils but perform well in most soils.
I am just as happy as a container plant as I am planted out in the garden.
My blooms are long lived and I make a great cut flower.
