Tradescantia is an attractive creeping plant with a metallic, silver and purple fleshy leaf, they are great for hanging baskets and to fill in areas quickly in your garden.
This Tradescantia is not invasive, it does not grow from roots in the ground and it will not tolerate frost or full sun. It does not require a great deal of attention, only a scoop of fertilizer every 12 months or so. If it grows too large just pull off the bits that you don't want.
Note: Some people have a slight skin irritation to this plant when they come in contact with the sap in the leaf, so to avoid this just use scissors, gloves or wash your hands after you handle the plant.
