This is a great plant with ruffled deep red leaves that give it great colour and texture. It has many uses including growing in aquariums and ponds, butterfly farming, green walls, terrariums, indoors and on patios.
Keep them in a filtered light position to fairly bright so they keep the deepness of the colour and shorter leaves and nodes. If your plant starts to grow more green leaves you could afford to move it to a brighter position.
If your Hemigraphis gets too big you can easily cut it back or take out the tips for a stronger, fuller plant to come back shortly after. The plant will also provide little white/cream flowers.
