120mm Nellie Kelly Grafted Black Passionfruit - Passiflora edulius

Nellie Kelly Passionfruit Grafted Black is a prolific vine that produces large amounts of purple/black passionfruit. Its hardy rootstock and tasty fruit has made it a favourite with generations of Australian gardeners. The hand-grafting technique allows the plant to grow across the country, from the cooler south to the northern sub-tropics, fruiting well for up to 10 years, and covering an area of 6-8sqm during its lifespan. To ensure successful growth and longevity, prune back shoots from below the graft point to control the spread of the root stock. Grafted Black produces attractive purple and white flowers, followed by round, medium-sized fruit, with a juicy tanginess that sweetens as it wrinkles and matures. Expect up to 400 passionfruit during the summer and autumn months.
