- Revolutionary radial design: experience superior grip, safety, and comfort through innovative carcass construction.
- Dependable deformation: adapts selectively to uneven terrain, ensuring stability without sacrificing safety.
- 30% more contact area: maximizes traction and control for an unparalleled riding experience.
join the radial revolution!
schwalbe set out to define a new era of mtb tyre technology with one question in mind: is it possible to develop flexible tyres with maximum utilization of the contact area that offers even more grip, safety and comfort?
the answer? yes. Yes it is.Â
dependable deformation
the completely overhauled construction of the tyre carcass rearranges the carcass threads from a 45° angle to be more perpendicular with the sidewall. The carcass material of radial tyres overlaps for a shorter time and with much less tension. As a direct consequence, the tyre deforms more selectively, adapting to uneven terrain without sacrificing safety.
higher contact area
the higher deformation factor of radial tyres means they offer 30% more contact area than conventional tyres at the same air pressure. Even increasing air pressure by 50% leaves the contact patch 15% larger.
more grip, more damping, more trail
the increased contact area and the more flexible response behaviour provides significantly more grip, more damping, more safety and more comfort - so you get more out of the trail! These tyres absorb impacts better and use the suspension travel more effectively - they literally suck themselves into the ground. This applies to both mountain bikes and e-mtbs, which provide significantly more traction on the ground with radial tyres.
world cup rated
schwalbe's radial lineup was developed in the downhill world cup, with amaury pierron taking the top spot of the podium by almost 5 seconds in val di sole, and over 6 seconds in let gets - an absolute mile in racing!
