More Control and more Versatility!
The Maxxis Dissector has been enhanced with several key improvements to elevate its overall performance. The side knobs feature a new design with an expanded footprint and refined sipes, delivering greater stability and more reliable cornering, particularly on firm surfaces.
The updated design minimizes deflection under pressure, enhancing durability and handling. The side knobs engage faster, providing riders with a more secure and stable sensation during cornering. While the center tread maintains the classic 2-3-2 pattern, the central “3” has been divided into separate knobs to boost braking grip and adapt more effectively to varied terrain.
The transition knobs have been extended outward to provide a smoother and more consistent feel when the tire leans. Similar to the side knobs, the center tread features updated sipes that improve grip and durability. These enhancements make the Dissector highly adaptable for short- to mid-travel trail bikes. It performs exceptionally well as a front tire on bikes with 130–140mm of travel, especially when paired with a fast-rolling rear tire like the Forekaster or Rekon. For longer travel bikes (150mm+), it offers a quick and reliable rear tire option in dry conditions.
Best for: Dry, hardpacked, rocky, or rooty terrain
Recommended setups:
• 130mm travel: Dissector front / Forekaster or Rekon rear
