- I attract nectar feeding birds to the garden
- I flower from November to April
- I am suitable for windy areas and coastal planting
A native Banksia I am a hardy and adaptable producing large showy deep red flower cones in winter and spring. My blooms are a magnet for nectar feeding birds. My hardy nature and dense form suit me to screening hedges and wind breaks. I thrive in a variety of well drained soils and climate zones and tolerant of moderate frost, dry periods, alkaline soils and coastal conditions.
