Local Community Involvement

In our business, responsibility for local community involvement rests with the store located within the particular community from where the assistance is requested.

We believe that the local team is best placed to reflect the needs of the local community.

   Sausage Sizzles and Fundraising Opportunities

The famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzle is enjoyed by thousands of Bunnings customers every weekend of the year, whilst also providing a valuable fundraising opportunity for local community groups.  All of the funds raised are kept by the community group conducting the Sausage Sizzle.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzles are a popular fundraising activity and are typically booked out up to six months in advance.

If you would like to apply to host a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, please contact the Activities Organiser at your local Bunnings Warehouse.

 Community D.I.Y. Workshops

D.I.Y. Workshops

Bunnings Warehouse Team Members regularly visit local schools, nursing facilities and hospitals to conduct free D.I.Y. workshops and a range of other presentations and demonstrations.

Workshops are tailored for the needs of each community group, but typically include gardening, craft, woodwork, water or energy saving or kid's activities.

To find out more information about a possible visit from Bunnings Team Members, please contact the Activities Organiser at your local Bunnings Warehouse.

   Contributions and Donations

Contributions can be made to community events, local amateur sports groups, charity fundraisers or heritage projects.

Bunnings also regularly makes donations of goods and services to local community groups in need. This could include a school or hospital or club requiring D.I.Y. repairs, a garden makeover or new facilities.

A large amount of requests for contributions are received, and regrettably not all applications are successful. Therefore Bunnings gives priority to:

  • Schools and kindergartens
  • Local community groups that assist the disadvantaged
  • Junior community groups (Scouts, Girl Guides etc.)
  • Junior sports groups
  • Local hospitals
  • Community events and festivals

ContributionsAndDonations

In general a minimum of six months’ notice is required for contribution, goods or services applications in order to maximise our involvement.
If you would like to be considered for a local store contribution or donation, please contact the Activities Organiser at your local Bunnings Warehouse.

If you would like to submit an application for a contribution that requires the participation of more than one store, or national or regional based campaigns, please contact the Communications Coordinator on (03) 8831 9777.
