Supporting women to make their mark
Since the establishment of a national competition, the number of girls and women playing football has increased 194,952 to 586,422. With such rapid growth, sporting facilities at community clubs are struggling to meet demand; in fact, a recent audit of facilities showed less than 30 per cent were considered female-friendly.
So, the inaugural provision of Bunnings Helping Hand grants will be entirely dedicated to the build and upgrade of infrastructure for female footballers.
There is one $30k grant up for grabs in every state and territory; to enter, upload a photo or video and tell us about why your club needs upgraded female-friendly facilities.
Achieving change requires commitment from many and as a proud AFLW partner it’s just a small way we can lend a hand.
