Therm-Oz Showers Pty Ltd is an Australian Company who have introduced their exposed thermostatic shower mixing valves with Cool -Touch Technology to Australia, WaterMark Approved and Australian Plumbing code compliant. A Thermostatic shower will not fluctuate in temperature if other taps or appliances are used or if a toilet is flushed etc and no electrics involved. The Therm-Oz Thermostatic shower is simple and safe to use. A simple ¼ turn twist of the right handle for on/off and water flow control. The temperature is set by the left handle and has a safety button restricting the maximum temperature to 38°C which is the optimum safe shower temperature, especially for children and infants. A maximum shower temperature of 45°C can be achieved by depressing the safety button and rotating forwards. Rotating the Right handle in the opposite direction decreases the water temperature to a minimum of 20°C. The safety button will re-set itself to limit the max temperature to 38°C again. Cool -Touch technology ensures that the surface temperature of their valves are safe to touch or hold whilst showering and will get no hotter than 20 degrees when at the 38 degrees setting. Thermostatic showers have been used in many European countries, the UK and Japan for about 30 years. It is now possible in Australia.

The Therm-Oz shower valve has a five year guarantee, to be installed by a licenced plumber and installation instructions adhered to. A maximum water pressure of 500kPa and to comply with the AS/NZS3500.1:2018 Plumbing code. Pressure above 500kPa will damage the Therm-Oz shower valve, and potentially other appliances in the property.

Therm-Oz Showers have an Australian Designed and patent protected Reno Kit that replaces a 2 tap manual shower (standard shower breech) with no pipework or tiling alterations. For max tap spacing of 230mm and min tap spacing of 80mm and if tap spacings are horizontal or Vertical. Available either with a Therm-oz slide rail hose and handset kit, or without allowing the choice of other Bunnings slide rail shower kits to be used.

The New Build version, for totally new installations, supplied with its own plumbing bracket to pipe up to and locate the shower valve in position on the wall. Available either with a Therm-oz slide rail hose and handset kit, or without allowing the choice of other Bunnings slide rail shower kits to be used. For New Build installations it is possible and recommended to run the hot water system at 60-65°C direct to the Thermostatic shower valve. This helps prevent pathogens such as legionella bacteria build up in the shower supply pipework. A tempering valve will still need to be used for supply of hot water to the bath and wash basin. This complies with AS/NZS 3500.4:2018 Plumbing code.
