Delivery Policy (ex Whitegoods)
We offer free delivery to certain Metro areas or at partial cost to other areas which is utilizing a one
man delivery service whom are contracted to deliver the goods to the door of your building. If you
have stairs, the driver may help you but is not under contract to do so. If you require TWO man
delivery service, please contact us before placing your order for a quote. Noe: we do not deliver at all to certain areas

Transit times can vary depending on your location. Please allow up to 10 business days for online
deliveries, although it will likely be sooner.
Regional areas transit times vary.

Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
• Large items (Televisions of 49” or above, White Goods), driver may be able to give you a delivery
window otherwise it is expected that delivery will occur on an agreed day from 9-5pm. If you miss an
agreed delivery, re-delivery charge is applicable. If you can’t meet your agreed date, please call to
reschedule at least a day before.

• Medium items (Small TVs up to 43”) Couriers Please Services (CPS) will attempt delivery at first
opportunity, if you aren't home, a card will be left with instructions on how you can pick up your
order or call CPS to book in redelivery. In some cases, you may receive email and text message
notification. Notifications are currently limited to certain areas so you may only receive tracking
details from us.

You may leave a written Authority To Leave (ATL), giving permission for goods to be left without a
signature if no one is home. We discourage you from giving authority to leave unless you are ok to
repurchase the item and agree that you may not contact us for a resolution to lost items.
Please also note that failure to collect your package from the courier may result in the item being
returned to us, incurring re-delivery or re-stocking fees.

Customers will be provided a tracking number upon dispatch. As all deliveries (other than those
delivered by our own team) are made via courier, it is important to ensure someone is available on
the delivery day.

FRIDGE DOOR REMOVAL: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure dimensions of the fridge,
doorways and any thoroughfares are checked. If doors require removal a $80 fee will be charged.

FRIDGE DELIVERY: The standard delivery charge for fridges is delivery to ground level. If the delivery
men are required to go up stairs, there may be an additional charge per flight of stairs. If this
information in not provided prior to the day of delivery, the courier reserves the right to refuse
delivery.

Delivery and Installation liability
-We cannot deliver to a PO Box, parcel locker, Locked Bag address or similar service;

-Delivery vehicle must be able to park safely within 20 metres of access point of the delivery
location and location must be safe, clean and free of risk (eg pets restrained). We reserve the right
to refuse delivery if this condition is not met;

-Delivery times and dates are estimates only and are subject to weather, traffic, actions of our
agents and other factors, therefore we can’t guarantee delivery on the date we have arranged;

-We will take care during delivery; however, delivery of appliances carries with it risk of damage. To
the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage caused to property during delivery,
including as a result of our or drivers negligence;

-All deliveries must be accepted by you or your nominee as advised prior. Receiver must be a
person at least 18 years of age, have photographic or credit card I.D. as authorised prior to delivery
and be able to sign for goods.

-The Customer must notify Buy Smarte within 24 hours of delivery of any damage to Goods or if
Goods are inconsistent with the order. Failing such notice, and to the extent permitted by law, the
Customer will be deemed to have accepted the Goods.

-If you or your nominee authorised is not present at the time of delivery, your goods will not be
delivered. An additional delivery charge will apply if goods need to be redelivered;

-Nothing in this document will exclude, restrict or modify or have the effect of excluding, restricting
or modifying any condition, warranty, guarantee, right or remedy mandated or otherwise implied by
law, including under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot by law be excluded, restricted or
modified. To the extent there is such a term, it is severed but only to the extent necessary to
conform with the applicable law.

If an item you have received is Dead on Arrival (DOA), or faulty, you must contact us within the first 14 days to report the fault. If an item is faulty and consequently returned, we will offer replacement or refund within 7 days of receiving the faulty item or earlier upon stock availability. We will cover the cost of shipping both ways for faulty items returned within 14 days. However, outside this initial 14 day period, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping both ways.
You are required to keep your packaging for the first 14 days on brand new items for DOA returns. If you have discarded the packaging in the first 14 days and the item cannot safely be returned, then a standard manufacturer warranty repair will apply.
If you change your mind about a purchase, we will gladly accept return of your goods within 14 days from when you received it, provided the item is still sealed/unopened and can be resold as New. Restocking fee and the original delivery fee may apply subject to the following terms and conditions:
- A Return Authorisation number must be obtained by providing a brief explanation of why you wish to return the goods.
- The item(s) are boxed and unopened and you pay the associated shipping costs in relation to returning the item to us within 14 days from receiving them.
- If the items are unboxed and used then they cannot be returned as they no longer can be sold as brand new stock. At our discretion we may offer to buy them back at 30% discount for the purpose of reselling as Factory Second product.
Return of goods must first receive an RA (Return Authority) before being returned.
STANDARD DELIVERY and INSTALLATION:
Buy Smarte offer a delivery service for all your whitegoods and TV purchases. This is a standard Door to Door delivery and is our standard delivery service. This includes taking your purchased product from our store or our central warehouse to your delivery address.
We, unfortunately, do not offer unpacking, rubbish removal or removal of old appliance service.
