Providing a safe environment for our customers and team will always be our number one priority.

In the interests of team and customer safety, and as part of ongoing efforts to give customers access to the products they need, Bunnings has announced a number of additional changes to their stores.

NSW update

Face Masks

In line with the latest Government and public health advice, face masks will be mandatory for team and customers in the Greater Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, Canada Bay, Inner West, Bayside and Woollahra regions.

We are strongly recommending team and customers to wear a face mask whilst in our stores located in the Wollongong and Shellharbour regions.

Cafes

Cafes are now open for both dine in and take away.

Community sausage sizzles

Sausage sizzles have resumed at our stores. Community group volunteers are required to wear a face mask.

QR codes

Customers who dine in at our cafes are required to check-in using the NSW Government's Service NSW app by scanning a QR code. For customers who don’t have a mobile, manual forms are available.

Bunnings also displays QR codes at the entrance of its NSW stores. While large retail is not required to do this we recognise that many customers may wish to complete an optional check-in during their visit.

VIC update

All stores across Victoria are now open for both retail and trade customers.

Face Masks

In line with Victorian Government guidelines, we require all customers and team members to wear a face mask when visiting our Victorian stores and sites, unless medically exempt.

Cafes

Cafes are open for both dine in and take away in both Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria stores.

Community sausage sizzles

Community sausage sizzles will return for stores across Metro Melbourne from this weekend.

QR codes

As per the latest Government announcement, customers will be required to register their visit by using QR codes located at and near the entrance as well as throughout our stores.

Drive & Collect

Drive & Collect is a contactless service that allows customers to purchase items online and arrange a convenient time to collect them from a Bunnings car park, without needing to get out of their car.

It's available at all Victorian Bunnings stores.

WA update

Face Masks

Face masks are no longer mandatory for our team and customers however, in line with Government guidelines, we still strongly recommend our team and customers wear a face mask when a safe physical distance cannot be maintained.

Cafes

Cafes are now open for both dine in and take away.

Community sausage sizzles

Sausage sizzles will resume from Tuesday 27 April. Community group volunteers are required to wear a face mask.

QR codes

Customers are required to check-in using the WA Government's SafeWA app by scanning QR codes in all of our stores.

For customers who don’t have a mobile, manual forms are available. We want to make sure we are doing everything we can to help reduce COVID-19 community transmission and we thank customers for their patience during this time.

QLD update

Face Masks

In line with updated government advice, as of 6am Thursday 15 April face masks and coverings are no longer required for team members and customers however we recommend for our team and customers to wear a mask if 1.5m physical distancing can’t be maintained.

Cafes

Cafes are now open for both dine in and take away. Customers who dine in are required to provide contact information as a condition of entry to the cafe by scanning QR codes available in all of our stores. For customers who don’t have a mobile, manual forms are available.

Community sausage sizzles

In line with updated government advice, sausage sizzles will resume for stores located in the Moreton, Logan, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and Redlands regions from Saturday 10 April.

What we're doing to help you shop safely

We continue to put in place additional safety measures to help look after our team members and customers:

  • Increased cleaning in-store and for equipment such as counters, trolleys and baskets.
  • Providing team members with masks, gloves and hand sanitiser.
  • Fewer checkouts in operation to maintain physical distancing requirements.
  • Suspended family events, in-store and children’s activities.
  • Playgrounds are now open in all states
  • Our cafe's are now open for both dine in and takeaway
  • Water fountains and trade coffee stations are closed

Physical distancing measures

Here’s how we’re practising physical distancing in store:

  • 1.5m floor markings at all checkouts for our customers.
  • Posters outside and around the store, with reminders for customers via PA announcements.
  • Rearranging in-store items to create 1.5m space for our customers and team members to keep their distance.
  • Requesting that customers use ‘Tap & Pay’ options as the preferred method of payment.
  • Limiting customer numbers in-store.

There may be some delays in our busier stores, as we try to ensure physical distancing measures. It'll be different from store to store and we'll do the best we can to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible.

Contactless services

Save time in-store with the Bunnings Product Finder App. The easy to use app will help you save time in-store during your next trip to Bunnings.

We encourage customers to shop online or use our contactless Drive & Collect service.

Our teams are doing their best to serve our communities

Our teams are doing an incredible job working hard and doing their best to help customers get the products that they need. We ask customers to respect the space they keep and respect they show.  We really appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.

We'll continue to keep everyone informed of the additional precautionary steps we are taking through in store signage and we will keep this page relevant with the most up-to-date information that may affect our stores.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the steps we are taking to protect our customers and team, contact us online or call 1800 803 037.
