Our metro Melbourne stores will be reopening for all customers on Friday 29th October from 6pm until 10pm (except East Pakenham which will close at 8pm). Stores will return to normal trading hours from Saturday 30th October.

Since the start of the pandemic, the safety of our team and customers has been at the core of everything we do and our strong COVID-safe protocols will remain in place across our stores. This includes extensive physical distancing measures, mandatory face masks indoors, checking in requirements, security to help monitor compliance and the capping of customer numbers to maintain density limits. This may mean you experience a short wait before entering stores and we thank you in advance for your understanding.

Customers can still purchase the items they need online, using Bunnings’ Click & Deliver or contactless Drive & Collect service.

Vaccination status

Under the Public Health Order, Bunnings is currently classified as ‘general retail’ which means we do have an obligation to check customers’ vaccination status.

All customers who are eligible for a vaccination (12 years and two months and older) must show vaccination status before they enter our stores.

We ask customers to be patient and respectful as our team carries out this requirement.

The Government has provided guidelines regarding acceptable proof of vaccination status; as follows:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate shown via Service Victoria app.
  • COVID-19 digital certificate saved to smartphone wallet.
  • Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate.
  • Printed copy of Immunisation History Statement with either full vaccination status or evidence of medical contraindications.

Customers who are not vaccinated can continue to shop our range online using our Drive and Collect or Click and Deliver services.

Face Masks

In line with Victorian Government guidelines, we require all trade customers and team members to wear a face mask when visiting our Victorian stores and sites, unless medically exempt.

Cafes

Cafés will be open for both dine in and take away. Customers who dine in will be required to show proof of vaccination when requested by a café team member. This only applies to people over 16 years of age.

Community sausage sizzles

Sausage sizzles will return progressively from this weekend as our store teams book groups in and take them through the health and safety requirements in line with the VIC reopening roadmap. We expect to have most stores back up and running over the next few weeks.

QR codes

Customers will be required to register their visit by using QR codes located at and near the entrance as well as throughout our stores.

Drive & Collect

Drive & Collect is a contactless service that allows customers to purchase items online and arrange a convenient time to collect them from a Bunnings car park, without needing to get out of their car. It's available at all Victorian Bunnings stores.

Our Glenorchy, Mornington, and Kingston stores and our Mornington Trade Centre are now open for customers to shop our entire home, lifestyle and garden range.

Since the outset of COVID-19 we have followed the latest government health advice and we thank customers for their understanding.

Customers can also continue to use our contactless Drive & Collect and delivery options if they prefer.

As a business that provides hardware, nursery and building supplies products, Bunnings is a critical retail business in NSW. As such, customers do not need to provide proof of vaccination to access our stores. We ask customers to continue to follow all the established COVID-safe practices while in store.

What we're doing to help you shop safely

We continue to put in place additional safety measures to help look after our team members and customers:

  • Increased cleaning in-store and for equipment such as counters, trolleys and baskets.
  • Providing team members with masks, gloves and hand sanitiser.
  • Fewer checkouts in operation to maintain physical distancing requirements.
  • Customers and team members required to check in using QR codes available throughout our stores.

Physical distancing measures

Here’s how we’re practising physical distancing in store:

  • 1.5m floor markings at all checkouts for our customers.
  • Posters outside and around the store, with reminders for customers via PA announcements.
  • Rearranging in-store items to create 1.5m space for our customers and team members to keep their distance.
  • Requesting that customers use ‘Tap & Pay’ options as the preferred method of payment.
  • Limiting customer numbers in-store.

There may be some delays in our busier stores, as we try to ensure physical distancing measures. It'll be different from store to store and we'll do the best we can to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible.

Contactless services

Save time in-store with the Bunnings Product Finder App. The easy to use app will help you save time in-store during your next trip to Bunnings.

We encourage customers to shop online or use our contactless Drive & Collect service.

Our teams are doing their best to serve our communities
