The natural grains of Australian Hardwoods are more twisted and fibrous than European & American Hardwoods, and are generally much more difficult to split manually.
The Hart 8lb Hardwood Splitter has been designed in Australia specifically for Australian Hardwoods. The narrow cutting face is unique to blocksplitter's & maul's of this size, and is shaped to maximize the splitting effect through the fibers of even our hardest Australian woods.
The narrow cutouts through the center of the splitting face help reduce jamming when splitting, as the geometry of this design guides the split wood over four touch points - rather than the previous design's two touch points.
The hardened sledge face on the rear side of the head is designed for use with steel wood wedges, which are ideal for blocks & logs larger than 400mm in height.
The anti-vibration fiberglass handle with over-strike protection ensures this professional splitter will best aid the user ergonomically when splitting for long periods of time.

  • Face geometry designed for Australian hardwoods
  • Face cut-outs to reduce jamming
  • Sledge face for use with wood wedges
  • Anti-vibration fiberglass handle
  • Lifetime warranty
