Go Up the Wall

Take your storage to the ceiling by mounting cabinets or shelves to the wall above your washer and dryer. Keep all dangerous cleaning products on these shelves, out of reach of young children.

Use the Space Below

If you can’t go above, you can always go below. Create a storage area underneath your washer and dryer by simply sitting them on a shelving unit. You can customise the shelving unit with drawers and baskets for added organisation.

Build Around it

Mount a benchtop above your washer and dryer for folding clothes. If you've got a top-loading washer, you can install a hinged benchtop that folds up and down. If you rent or don't want to drill into the walls, you can create your own stand-alone benchtop. Put some shelves on either side of the washer and dryer, and mount the benchtop to the shelves.

Add a Rod

Add a rod inside a cupboard, underneath a shelf or on the wall above your countertop for hanging delicate items on hangers.

Keep it Separate

Use shelf dividers to create cubbies on existing shelves for separating towels and linens. Remember to label each cubby (towels, guest towels, single sheet sets, queen sheet sets).

Fold it Up

Save time and effort with a fold down ironing board. Mount it to a wall, behind a door or inside a cupboard.

Hang it Out

Suspend a ladder from the roof using ceiling hooks for a clothes drying rack that doesn’t take up any room. If you don’t have a ladder you can install a retractable clothesline or pullout hanging rack under a shelf.

Have it Sorted

Get dirty clothes off the floor and into a hamper. Keep your lights, darks and delicates separate with 2 or 3 small hampers.

Store it Away

Mount hooks to the inside of a long cupboard door to hold your broom, mop and dustpan. Use a hanging storage organiser to keep all your gloves, cleaning wipes and supplies.

Stack it Up

Reduce the chaos and maximise shelf space
by organising small, loose items (such as toiletries, first aid supplies) into labeled boxes, and by stacking them on top of one another.
