How to prepare for paving

Project Overview

Before you can pave a driveway or footpath, there are some simple steps to follow. Contact your local government to get approval, especially if you’re paving a driveway. Check for electrical cables or drainage, and remove any tree stumps under the area. Measure up the space and always order 10% more pavers than will cover it to allow for breakages. On a footpath, make sure the fall is away from your home so the rain runs-off in that direction. On a driveway, direct the fall towards your drainage.
