How to clean a paint brush

Here’s a great tip to save you time and mess while cleaning paint brushes. Use tin snips to cut a wire mesh panel into a rectangle. Bend the mesh into an arc shape and place it in the bucket, so that it’s wedged inside. Fill the bucket with water to cover the mesh. Now run your paintbrush back and forth over the mesh and the paint will come out quicker and easier.

Step by Step Instructions

1 Draw shapes
2 Cut shapes
3 Frame holes
4 Tape on points
5 Make ties
6 String tarp up
7 Play ball
  • Step 1. Draw shapes

First, lay your tarp out and use your pen to draw on some shapes. We’ve drawn squares and diamonds but it’s totally up to you. Make sure they’re large enough for your ball to go through.

  • Step 2. Cut shapes

Then, use your knife to cut out the shapes. Get a grown up to help with this step.

  • Step 3. Frame holes

Now, frame the holes with some coloured tape. Use a different colour for each hole.

  • Step 4. Tape on points

Then, use tape top make the point scores under each hole.

  • Step 5. Make ties

Now, tie some cord to the eyelets on each corner of the tarp. Each piece of cord should be quite long.

  • Step 6. String tarp up

Then, tie the tarp up. Between a couple of trees should do. Make sure it’s stretched out nice and tight.

  • Step 7. Play ball

Now all you need to do I grab a ball and start playing. Each player takes turn throwing the ball through the holes. Add up the scores and the highest at the end of the game, wins.
