Best of both: the dual fuel gas and charcoal smoker BBQ by Char-Griller

If you enjoy the taste of slow-cooked meats as much as you do a traditional barbecue, you’ll love the new dual fuel gas and charcoal smoker BBQ from Char-Griller. Bunnings Outdoor Living Buyer Callum explains more.

How does the char griller work?

“The best thing about this barbecue is that you are not restricted to cooking with only charcoal or only gas, you can do both, even at the same time,” explains Callum.

The Char-Griller Double Play Dual Function Gas & Charcoal Barbecue uses patented ‘dual fuel’ functionality to offer the convenience of gas and the flavour of charcoal in one barbecue so you can enjoy authentic slow-cooked meats from a barrel-shaped grill or a good old Aussie charcoal BBQ on the porcelain coated, non-stick grates.

The dual play BBQ “allows you to add coals to achieve that delicious smoky flavour without even having to remove the adjustable grates, while the easy-dumps ash pan makes cleaning a breeze,” says Callum.

The electronic ignition fires up the barbecue at the touch of a button, which means it’s ready to cook dinner within minutes. While a side fire box (sold separately) allows you to convert the barbecue into a horizontal smoker for authentic Texas-style beef brisket.

This gas and charcoal barbeque also has chrome plated warming racks alongside the usual BBQ grills, giving you the extra space you need when cooking for family and friends.
