  • Step 1. Attach the cam locks and pins to the top panel

All of the holes in the broom cupboard kit have been pre-drilled. Start by inserting the pins into the holes in the top panel. You can tighten them using the cordless drill. Insert the silver cam locks into the larger holes, making sure the arrow on the lock is pointing to the outside of the panel.

  • Step 2. Insert the cam locks in the rail and attach

Next, insert the silver cam locks in the rail, making sure the arrows are pointing away from the panel. Attach the rail by inserting the pins into the two pre-drilled holes on the side of the rail. With a screwdriver, secure the rail by tightening the two cam locks on the outside of the rail.
  • Step 3. Attach the top panel to the side panel

Insert the eight pins into the holes at the top of the side panel. Now tighten each of them with your drill. The other smaller holes in the side panel are for the door hinges. Attach the top panel by inserting the pins at the top of the side panel into the top panel and tighten the three cam locks.
  • Step 4. Attach the fixed shelf

Insert the six silver cam locks into the fixed shelf, making sure the arrows point away from the panel. Now insert the three pins and tighten them with the cordless drill. Turn the panel onto its side, fit the side panel and tighten the three cams locks with a screwdriver.

  • Step 5. Attach the middle panel

The middle panel separates the broom storage section from the cupboard shelving. To put this panel in, turn the cabinet over on its front and insert the three cam locks into the top of the middle panel. Then slide it into place, using the pins at the bottom of the fixed shelf, and tighten off the three cam locks.

  • Step 6. Attach the second side panel

Lay the second side panel on top of your assembled cupboard. Insert the pins and tighten them with a screwdriver. Insert the silver cam locks, again making sure the arrows are pointing away from the panel. Then lift the side panel into place, by inserting the pins into the holes in the top panel, fixed shelf and at the bottom of the cupboard. Tighten all of the cam locks.

  • Step 7. Attach the bottom panel

There are pre-drilled holes on both sides of the bottom panel. One side is for the pins, the other for the feet. Insert the nine pins into their holes and tighten them with the drill. Insert the pins into the side and middle panels and tighten the cam locks to secure the panel. Make sure the white laminate is facing inside the cupboard.

  • Step 8. Attach the feet

The cupboard feet have a slight angle on one side, when you attach them these point towards the outside of the cabinet. Drill them into the holes in the bottom of the cupboard. Then insert the four adjustable feet into the base. Use your set square to adjust the feet so that they are all 145mm.

  • Step 9. Attach the back panels

There are two back panels that need attaching to the cupboard. Make sure the white laminated surfaces faces the inside of the cupboard. Lay the first panel flush to one side of the cupboard and nail it into the recess. Repeat this process with the second back panel. Once the back panels are on, ask for some help to lift the cupboard onto its feet.

  • Step 10. Attach the door hinges

Before attaching the door hinges you need to separate the plate from the hinge. You do this by clicking on the button on the end of the hinge and pulling the plate away. The holes for the door hinges have been predrilled. Use the cordless screwdriver to secure the three hinges near the top, middle and bottom of the cupboard door.

  • Step 11. Attach the plates to the cabinet.

You will notice there are pre-drilled holes for the plates on both sides of the cupboard, so you can choose whether your cupboard door opens to the left or right. Attach the three hinge plates using a drill and the screws provided. Don’t secure the plates too tightly because they might need adjusting.

  • Step 12. Hanging the door

Given its size you may need someone to help you to hang the door. You can hang the door simply by clicking the hinges into the plates on the inside of the cupboard. You may need to adjust the hinges so that the door is flush. The door can be adjusted up and down by loosening the screws on the plates. You then get the door to the right height and re-tightening the screws. The two screws on the hinge adjust the door left and right.

  • Step 13.

You can set the shelves to the height you want using the plastic shelf supports. Each shelf uses four pins to support it. After inserting the support pins into the cupboard wall, slide the shelf in above them. You can install as many shelves as you need.

  • Step 14. Attach the door handle

Check the instructions for the door handle measurements. Measure from the top of the cupboard to find the height the handle will be. Then measure in from the right hand side of the cupboard door to work how far into the door the handle will be. Put masking tape on both sides of the cupboard door to mark the handle position. The tape will stop the laminate from splitting when you drill the holes. Mark on the tape exactly where you will drill, then drill the two holes. Attach the handle using the screws provided and a screwdriver.
