The Denver bedside table
A bedside table with rattan highlights and open and closed storage? Yes, please. Priced at under $80, the Denver bedside table has a drawer for essentials and an open shelf for display items. The timber handle above the rounded rattan panel adds to the natural feel of this versatile piece.

The Denver entertainment unit
Finding the right TV entertainment unit for your space and budget can be a challenge. The Denver entertainment unit delivers on both – priced at under $200, this stylish unit will suit most spaces.
At a compact 1500 x 450 x 400mm, this stylish unit fits in easily and has the warm organic style you want in a cosy living area. The sliding doors with arched rattan panels are right on trend and help create a streamlined, uncluttered look.

9 reasons you’ll love these products
The design is on point
Founded in 2007, Mocka is an Australian and New Zealand online furniture brand known for taking a high-end aesthetic and giving it an affordable spin. Designed in Australia, the Denver range’s quality and natural boho look won’t disappoint the brand’s many fans.
“We wanted that modern coastal vibe, but still timeless,” Mamta says of the rattan bedside table and TV entertainment unit. “Rattan is the perfect way to add texture to your home and pairs well with most colour palettes,” she says. “Start with neutrals and throw in earth tones like rusts and sage greens – it’s a great foundation to build on.”
The price is right
When a few stylish buys can blow your decorating budget, you need to choose wisely. “You can pay $80 for a cushion, or you can get a beautiful bedside,” Mamta says. At $79 These statement pieces are priced at the lower end of Mocka’s furniture range, but it’s hard to tell, says Mamta. “To get that look is really good – it’s a bit more designed than we normally have at that price point.”
There’s functionality built in
If you’re expecting style over function you might be surprised at the details, like the two sliding doors on the entertainment unit that make organisation easier. “Cupboards where you have to pull the doors out can feel a bit clunky,” Mamta says. “This way you can slide it to get things out or keep one side open.”
Hidden storage is a plus, too. “Sometimes the worst thing is having everything open so you have to keep it tidy – this way, you can close it off and it will look fantastic in your room,” she says. The bedside has the best of both worlds: a drawer to conceal clutter and an open shelf underneath, “so if you’ve got books, you can quickly grab them.”

They’re made from mighty MDF
The Denver range is made using sturdy medium-density fibreboard (MDF) with a smooth, wood-look melamine finish. Made from recycled wood fibres and resin, MDF is a popular choice for modern flatpack furniture for a few reasons. “It’s strong and durable,” Mamta says. “Wood has defects – it expands and re-expands, so you often get knots and small cracks. MDF doesn’t have those imperfections, so there’s a consistent look.”
They go with almost everything
Furniture shouldn’t be like fast fashion that only lasts for one season, says Mamta. “I tell everyone, buy pieces that you love and think about the longevity, because you’re going to be living with it for a long time,” she says.
The neutral palette, compact size and pleasing design details like curved panelling make the Denver range a safe choice that works in most spaces. “The bedsides are great for kids rooms, or your spare room that you’re not using all the time but you want it to look beautiful when guests come to stay – they’re the perfect addition,” Mamta says.
They’re easy to assemble (even for beginners)
Good news for D.I.Y. noobs: the Denver range isn’t too tricky to put together. “It’s quite easy to do, but it’s still flatpack – it’s not going to come out of the box fully assembled,” Mamta says.
“Grab a wine or a cup of tea, get your partner to help out, set a bit of time and get stuck in,” she says. “Get your screws and hardware all laid out – it comes in labelled bags. Read the instructions, follow it step by step and you can’t go wrong.”
Mamta has a handy tip for making assembly easier. “Use a power drill on a very low setting, so you’re not having to screw everything individually,” she says.

They come in sustainable packaging
One downside to buying furniture is having to dispose of polystyrene filled packaging, but there’s no need to do this with the Denver range. “We took the opportunity to use sustainable packaging – it’s a great benefit to this product,” Mamta says. Rather than blank no-frills boxes, you’ll find quality photography that showcases the products and helps them stand out in store. “You can imagine it in your home straightaway,” she says.
There’s no delivery fees or delays
Free-shipping promos are rare in the furniture world due to the size and weight of pieces, and courier costs can dampen your drive to redecorate. “Delivery’s not cheap, you’ve got to weigh up that cost because it does add up”, Mamta says.
The Denver packs are designed to be easy to transport yourself. “The entertainment unit is in two boxes, so you can pick it up and take it to the car, and carry it up the stairs to your apartment,” she says. And while you might want to add to your new Mocka collection by browsing online, not having to deal with extended delivery times is another bonus of buying from Bunnings.
You won’t find them anywhere else
Don’t let this limited-edition seasonal drop linger on your wish list. “Once it’s gone, it’s gone – you don’t want to be travelling around every single Bunnings to go and find it,” says Mamta. “Don’t think you might be able to come back and grab a few later on – it will go super quickly.” While these particular products are a one-time only offer, Mamta hopes Mocka’s design-led furniture will pop up again at Bunnings in future. “Function’s so important, but function and design together are a winning combination,” she says.
