Our team members are part of the local communities in which we live and operate.
We therefore believe our store teams are best placed to reflect the needs of their communities.
From grass roots causes to local sporting clubs, schools and hospitals, we provide a wide range of support to a cross section of local community groups. We do this in many different ways including our sausage sizzles, cake stalls, hands-on D.I.Y. project assistance, product donations, garden makeovers and more.
Bunnings sausage sizzles and fundraising cake stalls are enjoyed by thousands of Bunnings customers every week.
These are valuable fundraising opportunities for local community groups - all of the funds raised go straight to the community group conducting the fundraiser.
Bunnings Sausage Sizzles are extremely popular and are typically booked out up to six months in advance. If you would like to apply to host a Bunnings sausage sizzle or cake stall, please contact the Activities Organiser at your local Bunnings.
Bunnings team members regularly conduct D.I.Y. workshops for local community groups, like schools and kindergartens, nursing homes and hospitals.
Our teams can head out and visit your group, or welcome you into the D.I.Y. area of our store for your own workshop.
Workshops are tailored for the needs of each community group and can include gardening, craft, woodwork, water and energy saving activities as well as kids activities.
Sustainability is an important part of who we are and we’re committed to educating the community about how small actions can make a big difference. One of the ways we do this is through our Schools Sustainability Program, which includes activities with local schools, store visits, schoolyard makeovers and D.I.Y. workshops.
To find out more information about a D.I.Y. workshop for your group and a possible visit from Bunnings team members, contact the Activities Organiser at your local Bunnings.
Bunnings regularly helps local community groups by providing hands-on assistance with their projects.
Wherever possible our teams take the opportunity to get out in into the community and help with grassroots projects – like assisting with garden makeovers and providing D.I.Y. support.
We also regularly donate products for community activities including raffles and fundraising events.
A large amount of requests for contributions are received, and regrettably not all applications are successful. Therefore Bunnings gives priority to:
