A message to our customers

A message to our Metropolitan Melbourne customers

In line with Victorian Government restrictions from 11:59pm Wednesday 5 August, Bunnings stores in Metropolitan Melbourne will remain open for Trade customers only and we will assist retail customers with necessary items via online ordering.

Retail customers can either order through Click & Deliver or choose our contactless Drive & Collect service where products can be ordered online and collected from Bunnings car parks, without needing to get out of the car.  Small business customers are able to use these options too.

Drive and Collect is a contactless service which gives customers the option to pick up their order from Bunnings car parks. Customers who have ordered online can select a convenient date and time to collect their order. On arrival, the customer parks in a nominated location in the car park, contacts the store team via phone or text, and a team member then brings the customer’s order out and places it in their boot.

All of our stores in Victoria offer contactless Drive & Collect, except for the following stores: Brunswick and Werribee.

Customers are encouraged to check if their local store is participating by visiting their local store page.

We are continuing to adapt our business in line with government advice, and we thank our amazing team for all their hard work in keeping customers supplied with the things they need.

In line with Stage 3 restrictions currently in place in regional Victoria, Bunnings stores in this area will remain open for all customers.

We look forward to welcoming all customers back into our stores in Metropolitan Melbourne, as soon as restrictions are lifted.

Our absolute priority has always been the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers and suppliers. We will continue to maintain strict and disciplined safety standards and have enhanced measures in place for some time in line with the latest advice from the Victorian Government.

Shopping with us should always be easy and safe. We continue to provide you with clear safety guidelines and encourage physical distancing in-store. If you don’t have a mask, they are on sale at the entry to our stores. If you are at all unwell, we ask that you please stay home and seek medical assistance. You can still shop with us online and we can arrange delivery for you.

Safe for our Victorian team members

We are passionate about all aspects of safety for our amazing team members and never more so than now.

In line with the latest advice from the Victorian Government, we now require that all of our Victorian team members, wear masks in-store. We are supplying face masks or shields to our team at the start of each shift if needed, along with guidance on how to use them effectively.

We have installed protective screens around registers and are using trestle tables and line markings on the floor to help with physical distancing. There is clear signage to help manage customer numbers in some areas of the store, including some changes to aisle entries and exits to ensure a safer journey through our store.

We are providing support to our team through a range of safety and mental wellbeing initiatives, such as free counselling.

We would like to thank you for continuing to treat our team members and other customers with respect during this challenging time. Thank you for your ongoing patience and co-operation as we continue working to keep our customers and our team safe.

Health & Safety

Please make sure you use all equipment appropriately and safely when following the advice in these D.I.Y. videos. You need to be familiar with how to use equipment safely and follow the instructions that came with the equipment. If you are unsure, you may feel it is safest to consult an expert, such as the manufacturer or an expert Bunnings Team Member.

Grave health hazards are linked to asbestos, which may be in homes built up to 1990. Health hazards may result from exposure to lead-based paints in older materials and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page. You can also use a simple test kit from Bunnings to indicate the presence of lead-based paint.
