A message to our customers

A message to our Metropolitan Melbourne customers

In line with current Victorian Government restrictions, Bunnings stores in Metropolitan Melbourne will remain open for Trade customers only.

Retail customers can order products online and have them delivered to their home through Click & Deliver or by choosing our contactless Drive & Collect service where products are collected from the nearest store car park and placed into the car by our team members.

All of our stores in Victoria offer contactless Drive & Collect, except for Werribee.

Our stores in regional Victoria are open to customers.

We are continuing to adapt our business in line with government advice, and we thank our amazing team for all their hard work in keeping customers supplied with the things they need.

Safe for our Metropolitan Melbourne Trade customers and Victorian regional customers

Shopping with us should always be easy and safe. Our absolute priority has always been the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers and suppliers. We will continue to maintain strict and disciplined safety standards and have enhanced measures in place for some time in line with the latest advice from the Victorian Government.

We’ve made a lot of changes to our stores to ensure the safety of our team and customers including the following:

  • Increased cleaning in-store and for equipment such as counters, trolleys and baskets
  • Providing team with gloves and hand sanitiser
  • Requiring team and customers to wear face masks in store
  • Implemented physical distancing measures, including taping floors to mark 1.5m, moving stock on pallets around to open-up space, trestle tables in front of service areas to create more distance
  • Encouraging customers to use Tap and Pay where possible

The wearing of fitted face masks that cover both the nose and mouth is now a condition of entry to all our Victorian stores, unless you are exempt. Our team may ask you to provide a medical certificate in support of an exemption. If you don’t have a mask, they are on sale at the entry to our stores.

If you are at all unwell, we ask that you please stay home and seek medical assistance. You can still shop with us online and we can arrange delivery for you.

To make your shopping more efficient we recommend that you plan ahead. We have introduced the Bunnings Product Finder App* to help you find what you need more quickly and easily in-store. We also provide a number of contactless shopping options with online shopping, Click & Deliver and Drive & Collect

Our commitment to customers extends beyond our stores with access to specialist product and project advice on our website, including information to keep you active in mind and body

Safe for our Victorian team members

We are passionate about all aspects of safety for our amazing team members and never more so than now.

In line with the latest advice from the Victorian Government, we now require that all of our Victorian team members wear fitted face masks in-store that cover both the nose and mouth. We are supplying face masks to our team at the start of each shift if needed, along with guidance on how to use them effectively.

We have installed protective screens around registers and are using trestle tables and line markings on the floor to help with physical distancing. There is clear signage to help manage customer numbers in some areas of the store, including some changes to aisle entries and exits to ensure a safer journey through our store.

We are providing support to our team through a range of safety and mental wellbeing initiatives, such as free counselling.

We would like to thank you for continuing to treat our team members and other customers with respect during this challenging time. Thank you for your ongoing patience and co-operation as we continue working to keep our customers and our team safe.

Health & Safety

Please make sure you use all equipment appropriately and safely when following the advice in these D.I.Y. videos. You need to be familiar with how to use equipment safely and follow the instructions that came with the equipment. If you are unsure, you may feel it is safest to consult an expert, such as the manufacturer or an expert Bunnings Team Member.

Grave health hazards are linked to asbestos, which may be in homes built up to 1990. Health hazards may result from exposure to lead-based paints in older materials and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page. You can also use a simple test kit from Bunnings to indicate the presence of lead-based paint.
