Product Description

Himalayacalamus porcatus 'Nepalese Blue' is a delicate looking blue culmed bamboo. An excellent species for creating a cold tolerant, tropical style garden. It presents as an upright, tight clumper with delicate thin foliage and a blue-grey tinge.

  • Great for creating privacy or screens in your garden
  • Prefers cooler climates but grows successfully in warmer areas also
  • Year round display of color

Himalayacalamus thrives in rich organic soils. Tolerant of full sun and shade but prefers morning sun with filtered afternoon shade. Feed in spring with a high nitrogen fertiliser and water frequently in summer. Prune in early spring or early autumn as required.
