My blooms are a distinctive fan shape in bright white, pink or blue are prolific during spring and summer and can appear for most of the year.
Native to eastern Australia I attract native bees, hoverflies, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
I have a gentle low rounded compact form and a spreading habit.
I add a bright splash of colour wherever I am planted. I am ideal choice for container planting, to create accent in rockeries, in borders or as a ground cover.
My dense habit means I outcompete many weeds.
Interesting fact: my botanic name comes from the Latin for “left handed” a reference to the petals only appearing on one side of my blooms.
