Bunnings has supported Firestarter for the past two years and in 2010 will continue to encourage kids to get involved with the environment through local projects and activities.
Firestarter run youth conference events where kids teach other kids about what they are doing in their school to make a difference. Bunnings Team Members provide hands on sustainability workshops at each event including bird box building
Bunnings and Firestarter will be working together in Victoria, New South Wales, Adelaide and Queensland in 2010.
Bunnings is supporting the Fundraising Group’s Green Up Clean Up initiative nationally in 2010/2011. Green Up Clean Up facilitates fundraising opportunities for schools through a clean up of a local community or school area and a green up tree planting activity.

Bunnings has supported National Schools Tree Day since 2008 by helping schools plant native trees in their school yard or local community area.
This event provides an opportunity for students to assist with tree planting and get involved in the environment at a local community level.
Bunnings also provides a schools sustainability program at every store across Australia which involves visits and activities with local primary schools.
The program is aimed at increasing awareness of energy and water saving, recycling and highlights simple and easy ways to make a difference to the environment.
