Rebates are available from both the New South Wales Government and Federal Government and you have the ability to claim from both.
New South Wales Government Rebate
Rebate Details:
Rebates are available for the purchase and/or installation of a water tank 2000 litres or greater. $150 for tanks 2000 – 3999 litre (tank only)
$400 for tanks 4000 - 6999 litre (tank only)
$500 for tanks 7000 litres and above (tank only) $500 for connection to toilet $500 for connection to washing machine $1500 maximum value
NB: From 15 January 2010, the total NSW Home Saver Rebates a household can receive must not exceed $1500 per property

Federal Government Rebate Rebate Details: Rebates are available for the purchase and installation of a water tank 2000 litres or greater when connected for internal reuse in the toilet and/or laundry (‘plumbed in’) where a rebate has not already been claimed for purchase and installation of a greywater system under the National Rainwater and Greywater Initiative.
