Petunias - Are free-flowering plants in a magnificent array of colours. Continuous blooming over a long period. Sow into trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Keep trays in a warm place or cover with glass, then transplant in a sunny well drained position.

October's a perfect month for planting vegetables such as tomatoes, zucchinis and sweet corn.

Use a garden fork to aerate the lawn (push and pull the fork in and out of the soil) then follow up by feeding with a good-quality lawn fertiliser.

Water and feed hydrangeas with Thrive Soluble Flower & Fruit to encourage larger blooms.

Plant basil with your tomato plants, as it repels pests and promoted healthy growth.
