Hibiscus, frangipani and bougainvillea are in full bloom over summer. They all grow well in large pots and can tolerate those hot summer days.

Baby Beets - Can be grown all year round. They are quick to grow and full of flavour. Sowing in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix will allow all seedlings from each cluster to be transplanted later. Pull beets while young and tender to obtain best taste.

Roses should be cut back to the bud about 5cm below the dead section. Remove any unproductive stems as well.

Spray a film of Yates Stressguard over tender plants to protect them from sunburn and heatwaves. Make sure you keep lots of mulch around your conifers, as they hate their roots to dry.
