How to Install


1	Clamp Handrail Fix blinds to a solid structure, eg cross beam, concrete or brickwork. If fixing to a cross beam, the blind can be attached to the inside, outside or lower edge of the beam. Clamp the blind in the desired position ready for drilling.	2	Screw Fix At the pre-drilled hole locations in the headrail on the blind, drill 30mm deep holes into the cross beam with an 8mm twist bit. If drilling into masonry use appropriate plugs. Fix the handrail of the blind in position by tightening the 10mm diameter coachscrews (included) with a 19mm socket or a shifting spanner.	3	Joiners To join two or more blinds together, simply zip off the roped edges on the adjoining blinds and zip on a bistro zip joiner (sold separately). Position the adjoining blind so the zippers align, zip them together and slightly tension to create a smooth look. Clamp the headrail in position and fix as before.


4	Weather Seal A strong weather seal can be created by securing the sides of the blinds with bistro wall anchors (sold separately). Simply insert the roped edge of the blind into the anchor channel, like a sail in a track and slide it to the end. Drill four equally spaced clearance holes through the flat section of the anchor and screw fix it to a post or to a wall.	5	Anchor Plates To help hold the blinds steady and prevent movement in light winds fix anchor plates in position. They can be fixed to decking, flooring or the base of the structure. Simply fix the base plate in position with the two screws supplied, adjust the length of the anchor strap which is fixed to the bottom rail of the blind to hold the blind steady.	6	Cord Cleat Blinds roll up and down. When they're up the excess cord needs to be tied off to prevent the blind falling. Screw fix a cord cleat to a post or wall at an easily accessible level and tie-off the excess blind cord. Be careful the cleat position does not interfere with the operation of the blind.

Blind Operation
To roll up blinds, unfasten the straps from the anchor plates and unzip both sides. To raise the blind evenly pull the lift cords until the desired height is reached then tie-off the excess cord into a cleat in a figure eight style to prevent tangling. To lower the blind reverse the process.
Note: Bistro blinds should be rolled up in high winds.
